Day 01

CAIRO – ASWAN CRUISE

Arrive Aswan airport, meet Excel representative and transfer to the Nile Cruise for Check in on board and have lunch on board Visit the High Dam and Philae temple with a local English-speaking guide.

High Dam is certainly not the largest in the world, it is an impressive engineering feat nonetheless, over 360 feet tall and 12,500 feet across. The dam was completed in 1971 and the huge reservoir behind it, named for President Nasser.

Philae Temple: This beautiful temple complex is one of the most picturesque in all of Egypt. Its on Aglika Island just south of the old Aswan Dam and you must ride a water taxi to the island to get to the ruins.

Day 02

ASWAN – KOM OMBO - EDFU

Breakfast on board. Sailing to Kom Ombo and lunch on board. Visit Kom Ombo temple.

KOM OMBO TEMPLE: It is the third major stop that most of the Nile Cruises between Luxor and Aswan, dedicated to the crocodile-god Sobek. Day 03

EDFU – LUXOR

Breakfast on board. Visit Horus temple in Edfu.

KARNAK TEMPLE: Built over a period of two millennia by generations of Pharaohs. Temple of Karnak was dedicated to the God Amun. It could take days to explore all of the numerous pylons, obelisks and smaller temples within.

LUXOR TEMPLE: it was once connected to Karnak via the Avenue of Human-headed Sphinxes, almost 3 kilometers in length. It is considered as a mark of Ancient Egyptian civilization, strikingly graceful monument in the heart of modern Luxor.
